Heavy fighting has continued in the Mpala
Farm region, which has led to the annexation
of lands belonging to the Asai-Lam tribe by
the Liberation Organisation Of National
Enlightenment (LO’ONE), led by the
charismatic Orifiss Gombwandy. |

takes to the sky |
The LO'ONE forces have
met with great success in
capturing land, however
this is the first time that
they have had to face an
armed opponent. It is
believed that the troops of
the charismatic Orifiss
Gombwandy now control
20 per cent of
Wambango mainly to the
northwest of the country.
Serious doubts have
arisen |
|
as to the independence of
this faction and widely
speculated that the
LO'ONE leader is merely a
front man for an overseas
power which seeks to
exploit the great mineral
wealth of Wambango.
Mssr Gombwandy
declared that his sole intent
is that the good people of
Wambango should be free
of the yoke of democracy,
has emphatically denied this
claim |

Nanyuki airfield has
become the first base
for the fledgling FIDO
airborne forces.
Following the release
from the oppression of
the Banana years the
people of the province
were treated to a
spectacular display of
expert flying. General
Hertzog van Rental
was in attendance and
declared it a major
step forward in the
fight for restoration of |
democratic order
Secrecy does not
permit us to print
details of the various
types of aircraft
involved in the
display, but General
Hertzog van Rental,
C-in-C of the FIDO
armed forces, expects
that some of the
opponents of the new
democratic order will
soon enjoy a much
closer look then they
might otherwise wish. |
