AK47 Campaign

Modern Africa

A modern day Africa campaign using the excellent AK47 rules and 15mm figures from Peter Pig

The Wild Geese

The campaign rules were devised with an emphasis on simplicity and a minimum of book-keeping

The Wambango Daily News was the intermittant newspaper of the campaign, containing news, dis-information and downright lies

Each faction was vying for the control of Wambango following the sudden death of President Daniel "Yellow" Banana.  There were 5 players in the campaign each taking one of the faction types:

Colonial

The Free Intervention for Democratic Order (FIDO) were the Colonial power under the command of General Hertzog van Rental. A highly trained professional force but lacking in numbers

Superpower-backed Client State

The Superpower backed client force were the Liberation Organisation Of National Enlightenment (LOONE) led by the charismatic Orifiss Gombwandy

 Religious Movement

The Religious Movement were represented by the Sword Federation for the Retention of Zogra (SFRZ) who had the annoying habit of using massed mortars as a budget replacement for divine intervention

Dictatorship

The Naite Succession for the Retention of Freedom (NSRF) were led by the Dictator Chief Naitelommerro. Their mission was to free the people of Wambango from the yoke of democracy

Peoples Popular Front

The Ltumo Retention Defence Commando (LRDC) represented the Peoples Popular Front Although lacking in equipment and military training they more than made up for it in numerical superiority
