Here continues the Chronicle of the Cycle of the Phoenix, from the beginning of the eleventh year.

YEAR 11 - BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID
The Grey Dwarves and the Pteor sign a peace treaty, restoring conquered territory to each other. Despite a threat to its Citadel from the Pteor, the Necromancer turns its attentions onto the Centaurs. Nordheim finally falls to Acheron’s ally the White Dwarves.

Voy voluntarily accepts the overlordship of Albion, and the two human nations unite against the High Elves.

YEAR 13 - THE MARCH TO THE SEA
Quorm takes advantage of the Necromancer’s distraction to take over the former lands of Djerbil. The Centaurs fight furiously against invasion on three fronts - the Necromancer to the south, the White Dwarves to the NW and Acheron to the SW. Hibernica and the Grey Dwarves unite against an alliance of the Dragon Orcs and the Saurians, and the four of them use the lands of the Dark Elves as their battleground, who become a vassal of Hibernica.

Following a decisive defeat by the Wood Elves, the Iron Dwarves are left with no choice but to accept vassalage when attacked from the west by the Red Orcs.

YEAR 12 - THE BRAIN
As war breaks out between the Centaurs and the Acheron / White Dwarf alliance, a new ruler, known only as The Brain, takes power in the lands of the Centaurs - oddly enough not a Centaur but some sort of rodent.

The Undead continue to drive into Centaur territory, but Kregmire & Hibernica reclaim all the territory they previously lost in the south and the Pteor continue to attack in their homeland.

Albion and the Iron Dwarves end their war, allowing the dwarves to turn their attention to the Wood Elves invading them from the east.

YEAR 14 - THE STORMCLOUDS GATHER
The Pteor risk flying an army across the sea to support their White Dwarf allies in a final drive against the Centaurs. The Centaurs are driven back to their capitol, where they win a great victory over Acheron and its allies (or minions as some might call them). Forced to retreat back across the sea again in the aftermath of this defeat, the Pteor army is caught in a terrible winter storm and completely destroyed.

As the Grey Dwarves drive the Saurians from the mainland and compel the Dragon Orcs to become their vassals, their ally Hibernica turns its attention to repelling an invasion by the Wood Elves. However defeat by the Wood Elves allows the Dark Elves to rise up against Hibernican overlordship, and they regain much of their lands.

Voy is finally obliterated by Acheron.

YEAR 15 - THE FALL OF THE CENTAURS
Acheron and its allies finally smash the Centaur army at Woggi, leaving the Centaurs with no field army and one city.

With the co-operation of Acheron, the Red Orcs attack the High Elves, with rather foot-dragging support from their vassal Albion.

With the victorious Wood Elves at the gates of its capitol, and Kregmire also taking the opportunity to seize territory from it, Hibernica accepts the overlordship of the Wood Elves. Exasperated at the flip-flop loyalties of the Dark Elves, the Grey Dwarves attack them, but are repulsed.

YEAR 16 - CONSOLIDATION
Acheron has to attack through Quorm territory to get to the last Centaur city (at least that’s their excuse for invading Quorm), but they do, and the last trace of the Centaurs is obliterated.

With Acheron now coming to the aid of the Pteor, the Necromancer returns to the Land of the Dead to try and secure its position.

The Red Orcs continue their attack on the High Elves, but the war turns into a stalemate. Hibernica drives Kregmire out of its territory, and goes on the offensive, despite Albion coming to Kregmire’s aid. The Wood Elves are again at war with the Iron Dwarves.

The Saurians voluntarily agree to become vassals of the Grey Dwarves in return for being allowed a presence on the mainland, and they join the Grey Dwarves’ attack on the Dark Elves.

YEAR 17 - NIGHT OF THE LONG KNIVES
The Dark Elves are defeated at their capitol by the Grey Dwarves and offer to surrender. However the dwarves have other ideas, and the Dark Elves are wiped from the face of the world by the Grey Dwarves’ vassal the Dragon Orcs in a night of carnage, while the dwarves collectively look the over way and pretend not to notice.

In return for their continued support against the Necromancer, Acheron demands that the Pteor submit to it as overlord. They agree to do so, and together they attack and destroy the Citadel of the Necromancer. The Necromancer is dead (though of course he was anyway), and the victorious nations learn the secret of how to use the teleport portals.

Hibernica and Kregmire agree a peace treaty. Hibernica almost manages to capture the Pirate Isles from Acheron, but is called off by its overlord the Wood Elves.

In support of its ally the High Elves, Quorm launches an attack on the Red Orcs.

The Wood Elves come under attack from the Saurians and the Dragon Orcs, both vassals of the Grey Dwarves.

YEAR 18 - THE SOUTHERN ALLIANCE
Quorm comes under intense pressure from an alliance of Acheron and the Red Orcs. Quorm is unable to maintain its overlordship of the High Elves, who re-assert their independence, but renew their alliance with their former overlord in the face of this common threat.

The Wood Elves release the Hibernicans from vasseldom, shortly before they are themselves forced to submit to the Dragon Orcs. The newly independent Hibernica makes peace with Kregmire, and joins Quorm and the High Elves to form the ‘Southern Alliance’ and oppose the expansion of the Empire of Acheron.

On the orders of their overlord Acheron, the Pteor launch an invasion of Grey Dwarf territory.

YEAR 19 - THE END OF ALL THINGS
Quorm continues to fight desperately, with aid from the High Elves, to repulse attacks from the Red Orcs, the White Dwarves and Acheron.

Venturing without supply on a reckless aerial attack deep into Grey Dwarf territory (virtually a suicide mission), a Pteor army manages to catch the dwarves completely by surprise at their capitol, capture it, and compel the Grey Dwarves to submit to the rule of the Empire of Acheron. The dwarves former vassals, the Saurians and the Dragon Orcs, regain their independence. The Saurians demonstrate that they have been studying the function of the teleport portals to use them to attack deep into the rear of Pteor territory, capturing the former Citadel of the Necromancer, but suspend their offensive when news that the Grey Dwarves have fallen reaches them.

Hibernica launches a series of amphibious assaults against the Acheron-controlled western coast of the inland sea, but comes under attack from the Pteor from its border with the Grey Dwarves.

YEAR 20 - THE TEASPOON OF ULTIMATE POWER
The Empire of Acheron is in the ascendancy, attacking on all fronts, but opposition is starting to coalesce around the ‘Southern Alliance’ of Quorm, the High Elves and Hibernica. But then word reaches both sides of the fabled Teaspoon of Ultimate Power, an artifact so powerful that whichever side possesses it will be assured of victory. The Teaspoon, it is said, is lying in a vault in a castle in Albion. Both sides assemble all available forces and set out to claim it.

The Southern Alliance army (comprising an army from each of Kregmire, Hibernica and Quorm) find themselves heavily outnumbered by the Empire (which has a Pteor army, a Grey Dwarf Army, and two armies from each of Acheron and the Grey Dwarves).

And so, they meet on the plains before the castle, to fight The Last Battle........
